After growing up in beautiful Canisteo, NY, and graduating from college at SUNY Cortland, Bob moved to Charlotte, NC for his first teaching job. Seventeen years later, Bob Forshee is now a loving husband to Carly Forshee and father to Gabriella and Daisy. Bob and Carly found each other a little later in life and instantly started building their life together around love, family, education, football, and the outdoors. Bob is currently a Physical Education teacher and Head Football Coach at East Mecklenburg High School.
In early 2020, Bob went for an annual physical and his iron was low. After many tests in October of 2020, the most unthinkable thing was found during an endoscopy - esophageal cancer. Further scans revealed that it was stage IV as it had spread to his liver. Doctors call it “treatable” but not “curable.” Bob is working like hell to beat the horrible statistics of esophageal cancer by doing everything in his control. He is a fighter and has a tribe of family and friends like no other. Bob’s two little girls bring him life and courage each day.
As Bob says, he is still “living the dream."
